Beer Mountain Construction

The layout was constructed from an open grid benchwork, with cardboard supporting aluminum window
screen wire. Over this, a couple of plaster of paris coats created the terrain. This photo shows
the entrance to the dual tunnel through Beer Mountain. On the upper level is the yard.

View of the yard.

In the foregrund is the reversing track which bridges over the road which will serve the small
community on the lake. The lake is made of plywood and coated with primer to take out the grain.

plaster of paris.

The lake after the bottom was painted. Later acrylic gloss medium was applied to give it a wet
look.

Beer Mountain in all its splendor. In the far right, the first cottage has been built along the
lake shore. Behind Beer Mountain is the reason for its name. A fridge full of homebrew, and a
towel covered carboy with fermenting beer can be seen if you look real close.

Start to build the lake service road and grade crossings.
